Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 29, 2026  ·  Effective immediately

This Cookie Policy describes how Diaris, operated at diaris.net, deploys and utilises cookies and analogous local storage technologies in connection with the delivery of its platform and services. By continuing to access or use the platform, you acknowledge and consent to the use of such technologies as described herein.

01

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small data files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They serve a range of functions — from keeping you authenticated across pages to enabling the platform to recall your preferences between sessions. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags, all of which may be employed by Diaris for purposes consistent with this policy.

Cookies are widely used across the internet and are a standard component of how modern web platforms operate. They do not execute code or deliver viruses, and they cannot access other files on your device.

02

Categories of Technologies We Deploy

Diaris deploys cookies and local storage technologies across the following functional categories:

Strictly Necessary Technologies

These technologies are essential to the operation of the platform and cannot be disabled without materially impairing platform functionality. They encompass authentication tokens that maintain your logged-in state, session identifiers that enable secure navigation across platform sections, and preference indicators that retain your consent and onboarding status. No consent is required for strictly necessary technologies as they are integral to service delivery.

Functional Technologies

These technologies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may retain information such as your preferred view configurations, sidebar state, recently visited tools, and interaction history within the platform. Disabling these technologies may result in reduced functionality or the loss of personalised features.

Analytical and Performance Technologies

These technologies facilitate the collection of aggregated and anonymised data regarding how users interact with the platform — including pages visited, time spent, navigation patterns, and error occurrences. This information is used exclusively to improve platform performance, stability, and user experience. Such data is processed in a manner that does not identify individual users.

Third Party Technologies

Certain third party services integrated into the platform may independently deploy their own cookies or tracking technologies. These include infrastructure and authentication providers whose technologies operate in accordance with their own respective privacy and cookie policies. Diaris does not control third party technologies and assumes no responsibility for their operation.

03

Specific Technologies in Use

The following describes the principal technologies currently deployed by Diaris. This list is representative and may be updated as the platform evolves:

  • Authentication session tokens — maintained by Supabase to keep you securely logged in across visits
  • Onboarding and consent indicators — stored in local storage to record that you have completed initial platform setup
  • Plan and preference identifiers — retained locally to serve the appropriate platform experience based on your account type
  • Session and heartbeat trackers — used internally to monitor platform health and detect anomalies
  • Google authentication tokens — set during OAuth flows to facilitate secure sign-in via Google
  • Font delivery requests — Google Fonts may set performance-related cookies when typefaces are loaded
04

Duration of Storage

Technologies deployed by Diaris operate across varying durations depending on their function. Session-based technologies expire upon closure of your browser session. Persistent technologies may remain on your device for extended periods ranging from a single day to several months, as required by their operational purpose. Third party technologies are subject to the retention schedules determined by their respective providers.

Diaris reserves the right to adjust the duration and scope of deployed technologies at any time as the platform develops.

05

Your Controls and Options

You retain control over the technologies stored on your device through several mechanisms. Most modern browsers provide settings that allow you to review, restrict, or delete cookies and local storage data. The precise steps vary by browser and version — consult your browser's help documentation for specific instructions.

Please be aware that restricting or removing strictly necessary technologies will impair or entirely prevent access to core platform features, including authenticated sessions and personalised experiences. Diaris assumes no responsibility for degraded functionality resulting from user-initiated restriction of necessary technologies.

For third party technologies, you may consult the respective provider's opt-out mechanisms. Diaris does not operate or control such mechanisms and cannot guarantee their efficacy.

06

No Advertising Technologies

Diaris does not deploy advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, or behavioural profiling tools for the purpose of serving targeted advertisements. No data collected through platform technologies is shared with advertising networks or data brokers.

07

Changes to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be revised periodically to reflect changes in platform functionality, applicable law, or operational practice. The effective date indicated at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the platform following any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

For material changes, registered users may be notified via the email address associated with their account.
